As a Senior Product Designer, you will join a team that prioritizes impact over optics and works at the intersection of security and simplicity. Your role involves shaping the visual layer across Proton's suite of products, ensuring that sophisticated features feel intuitive and trustworthy without sacrificing clarity.
Your tasks
- Own the visual and interaction quality of one or more Proton products from concept to production.
- Craft interfaces that make complex privacy and security features feel intuitive and trustworthy.
- Develop visual systems including typography, hierarchy, spacing, color, and iconography that scale across millions of users.
- Design meaningful motion, transitions, and micro-interactions.
- Create icons, illustrations, and visual assets that maintain consistency across products.
- Raise the team's craft bar through execution, design critiques, and contributions to the shared design system.
- Partner with Product Managers and engineers to shape solutions early and stay hands-on through implementation.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer digital products with exceptional visual craft.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong skills in typography, layout, hierarchy, spacing, color, interaction, and motion.
- Proven ability to simplify complex problems into interfaces that feel obvious in hindsight.
- Experience building and evolving design systems, understanding the balance between consistency and flexibility.
- High proficiency in Figma, moving fluidly from exploration to high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
- Ownership beyond your immediate work, actively identifying and acting on quality issues and inconsistencies.
