Your tasks

• Take technical ownership of the Proton Mail Desktop App for Windows and Linux platforms.
• Rebuild client applications using a new, innovative cross-platform Rust technology stack.
• Transform product specifications into technical requirements and lead their implementation.
• Assess new technologies and support cross-team technical decision-making.
• Write clear, concise, and testable code to maintain high codebase quality.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of learning, creativity, and accountability.

Your profile

• Significant professional software development experience with Rust, or a very strong background in modern C++ with complex Rust projects.
• Experience in developing high-quality, fast, cross-platform desktop applications for Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with native and cross-platform desktop technologies.
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for technology and usability.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and collaborate effectively with Product and Design teams.
