Job Description

As a Senior Front End Engineer on the Docs and Sheets team, you will help build secure productivity tools that empower users to create, edit, and collaborate on documents while protecting their personal data. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with Product, Design, and API teams, focusing on client-side architecture, system design, and usability.

Your tasks

• Build, ship, and maintain user experiences across Proton Docs, Proton Sheets, and the Docs homepage.
• Transform product specifications into technical requirements and lead their implementation.
• Enhance the development lifecycle, tools, and code structure through technical leadership.
• Write clear, concise, and testable code to maintain high codebase quality.
• Foster a culture of learning and accountability through mentorship and team development.

Your profile

• Deep understanding of JavaScript methodologies and design patterns.
• Proficiency with TypeScript or similar typed languages.
• Experience with React or similar frameworks for developing performant components.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices such as SOLID and CI/CD.
• Product mindset with a focus on user experience and distributed team collaboration.
