Job Description
GetYourGuide is looking for a Senior Design Systems Manager in Zürich to shape and govern the design language team, driving the organization toward a future where automation, AI-assisted tooling, and code-driven design play central roles in product development.
Your tasks- Lead the design systems team across functions, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across all products
- Bridge design, engineering, and product strategy by partnering with Product Design, Content Design, Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Data teams
- Work across all stages of product development, from requirements gathering and ideation through prototyping, final visual design, and implementation support
- Anticipate and embed emerging trends such as generative UI, adaptive theming, and real-time personalization into the system roadmap
- Guide teams in effective system usage while nurturing a culture of system thinking over isolated solutions
- Deliver beautiful, emotionally compelling, pixel-perfect patterns and processes that advance the design systems discipline
Your profile- 10+ years of experience in product design leadership with strong systems thinking
- Proven track record of designing and shipping design patterns that scaled to millions of users
- Strong familiarity with AI trends and capabilities in design systems, including collaboration with machine learning and data science teams
- Experience creating efficiencies across centralized and embedded engagement models
- Deep understanding of the interplay between frontend interactions and backend logic
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating how your leadership shaped an organization's approach to design
