Job Description

GetYourGuide is looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Infrastructure Platform team in Zurich. As 'engineers for the engineers', this team builds and automates the cloud and container-based platform that supports all product teams. You will be responsible for hiring, performance management, and coaching engineers to reach their full potential while ensuring the delivery of high-impact projects.

Your tasks

• Manage all hiring and performance management topics on the engineering side.
• Partner with peers and stakeholders to shape the roadmap and drive delivery.
• Build and maintain opinionated paved paths and abstraction layers for mission teams.
• Champion platform engineering principles and operational excellence across the organization.

Your profile

• Strong technical experience in a cloud-native platform engineering environment.
• Passion for people, with a focus on supporting and coaching without micromanaging.
• A sense of ownership to align technical and project plans with stakeholders.
• Experience in scale-up environments or building platforms for large engineering organizations is an advantage.
