Job Description

Inselspital Bern is seeking a senior physician to join its dermatopathology team. This position offers the opportunity to work in an accredited ICDP training center with access to comprehensive molecular diagnostics and a strong academic environment.

Your tasks

• Collaborate closely with dermatopathologists, pathologists, and clinicians.
• Provide independent diagnostics across the spectrum of dermatopathology.
• Present histological specimens weekly during internal clinicopathological discussions and tumor boards.
• Support the continuous improvement of performance and service quality.
• Initiate and support research projects within dermatopathology.
• Participate in teaching, continuing education, and professional development.

Your profile

• Board-certified dermatologist with completed subspecialty training in dermatopathology, or a board-certified pathologist with expertise in dermatopathology.
• Hold or plan to acquire a Diploma in Dermatopathology (ICDP – UEMS International Board Certification).
• Experience in applying molecular pathological diagnostics for dermatological and dermatopediatric requests.
• Confident communication skills in German; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Interest in academic dermatology and a commitment to high-quality diagnostics.
