Job Description
Inselspital Bern is offering a fully funded PhD position in lipid metabolism, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The role combines multi-disciplinary research approaches with clinical engagement.
Your tasks
Conduct multi-disciplinary research in lipid metabolism, applying complementary approaches including molecular biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and computational biology. Work with pre-clinical models as well as clinical studies.
Your profile
- Master's degree or equivalent in biochemistry, system biology or analytical chemistry
- Experience working with mass spectrometry is essential; knowledge of mass spectrometry imaging is a plus
- Highly organized and capable of working both independently and within a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
